Many across the 24th District gathered yesterday to observe the National Day of Prayer and to seek the blessings of God on our country. I had the opportunity to attend a service for the Metrocrest area led by mayors from Carrollton, Farmers Branch, and Coppell. Then, in the afternoon, I joined hundreds of others at the Southlake Town Square for prayer led by local pastors. At these events, I was reminded of how privileged we are to live in a country founded on the principles of faith and freedom. As our nation faces many challenges at home and abroad, it is important we remember His faithfulness and renew our commitment to prayer.
