This week in Washington, I introduced the bipartisan Government Spending and Accountability (GSA) Act which requires federal agencies to report the cost of all offsite meetings and conferences to Congress. The GSA scandal is just a small glimpse of the growing culture of waste and abuse in Washington. It seems that these bureaucrats think the hard-earned taxpayer dollars they waste are their own to spend however they want. We must hold federal agencies accountable to the American taxpayer and stop this culture of wasteful spending.
