Representative Farenthold Appalled at EPA Regional Administrator Remarks

Issues: Oil and Gas Environment
Congressman Blake Farenthold (TX-27) issued the following statement after comments by Environmental Protection Agency Regional Administrator Al Almendariz, whose region includes Texas, were made public regarding his philosophy to "crucify" oil and gas producers:
"This appalling comment confirms what we in Texas have known for a long time. The EPA is more concerned with punishing the oil and gas industry than protecting the environment. I intend to work with the Oversight and Government Reform Committee to investigate this shameful attack on the industry that is leading the economic recovery both in Texas and across America."
