Congressman Ben Quayle released the following statement after voting in favor HR 9, the Small Business Tax Cut Act of 2012. This legislation allows small businesses to deduct 20% of their income from taxes.
"After a streak of no-growth proposals put forward by the President, it's refreshing to see a real, pro-growth proposal that will boost our small businesses and put us on a path toward fundamental corporate tax reform. I'm proud to vote in favor of this small business tax cut.
"Small businesses are the engine of American job creation. In Arizona, there are 101,228 small businesses that employ 975,400 people. To get Arizonans back to work in meaningful, rewarding jobs, we need to unleash the primary creator of those jobs: small businesses. This legislation accomplishes that and will be a significant boon to our economy."
