U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons, and U.S. Representative John Carney will host a free job fair on Monday, April 23, 2012 from 10 am to 3 pm at Delaware State University in Dover. Job seekers are encouraged to come with their resumes in-hand as the delegation kicks off its fourth job fair in Delaware. More than 45 employers will be on hand looking to hire talented Delawareans.

"I hope that job-seeking Delawareans in Kent County take this opportunity to join us on April 23 to meet with prospective employers," said Senator Carper. "While our state and nation are in an economic recovery, it's important that Delaware's first-class work force make these connections with employers, and gain valuable job training."

"We've got an excellent assortment of businesses lined up for the fair, and we're hearing from them that they're looking for people who are enthusiastic about getting back to work," Senator Coons said. "I encourage Delawareans in the market for a job to come to this fair with resumes in-hand and ready to take on new and exciting challenges. We are coming together as a community to connect our neighbors looking for work in and around Kent County with employers who are ready to hire."

"With more than 45 employers from Kent County and the surrounding area participating, this job fair will give many Delawareans the opportunity and support they need to find employment," said Congressman Carney. "I'm excited to build on the success of last year's delegation job fairs and help Delawareans get back to work."

In addition to networking with companies looking to hire, job seekers can also take advantage of the myriad workshops, career counseling and resume review opportunities, including:

"The Art of Networking," with career coach Yusuf Wilson

"Prime for Life," presented by Brandywine Counseling

"How to Supercharge your Job Search," with career coach Joyce Dungee Proctor
