Congressman Ben Quayle released the following statement regarding the Department of Labor's jobs report for March, 2012:
"Today's employment numbers confirm what millions of job seekers already knew: this is a weak economic recovery that is doing little to repair the damage of the recession, or instill confidence in American businesses and consumers. The President has tried to build an economic recovery on short-term gimmicks and astonishingly wasteful "stimulus" programs that have done nothing more than make our deep-seated problems even worse.
"If we want a true economic recovery, we need to create the right conditions to give businesses the long term confidence they need to invest and grow. We need to get spending and debt under control, fundamentally reform America's tax code, fully embrace American energy production and rein in out of control regulations.
"America still has all the underlying strengths needed for economic growth and job creation. We just need government to get out of the way"
