U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) issued the following statement regarding the national unemployment figures released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics today:
"It is good to see any improvement in the nation's unemployment rate. Still, millions of Americans are unemployed and struggling just to make ends meet. As I travel around Nevada the message is clear, the policies coming out of this Administration are not working. For the past two and a half years my state has had the unfortunate distinction of leading the country in unemployment. Congress needs to craft an economic plan that focuses on getting rid of burdensome regulations, reforming the tax code, and constructing an energy policy that lowers gas prices. Americans deserve better from Washington and I will continue to fight every day to create jobs in Nevada," said Senator Dean Heller.
