Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement applauding the House Budget Committee for releasing its fiscal year 2013 budget resolution:
"Last month, President Obama published his budget request, which raises taxes, makes our debt crisis even worse and does nothing to reform and save critical programs like Medicare. The Senate hasn't passed a budget in over 1,000 days. But the House's budget would responsibly reduce our deficit, save and strengthen Medicare, and help hardworking Arkansas taxpayers by simplifying the tax code and closing special interest loopholes. The House budget offers Americans real solutions to serious problems."
