Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN-03) today voted in favor of the bipartisan Senate-amended JOBS Act which now goes to the President's desk to be signed into law. The legislation passed in the U.S. House on March 8th by a 390-23 vote and on March 22nd passed with an equally bipartisan 73 to 26 vote in the U.S. Senate. This legislation will help get Minnesota small businesses, job creators, and entrepreneurs off the sidelines by removing costly regulations and making it easier for them to access capital.
"Approving this pro-growth measure shows that Congress can come together to help our nation's small businesses and entrepreneurs. This vital legislation feeds the American entrepreneurial spirit by helping innovators gain access to capital, removing regulatory barriers holding startups back, and helping small businesses create jobs."
Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus, as well as the U.S.--Korea Free Trade Working Group.
