Issue Position

I believe in individual accountability. We are blessed to live in a country where individuals are afforded significant freedoms and liberties, but these freedoms come with responsibilities. We must be willing to take responsibility for ourselves, to plan and prepare for our own futures and not look to others to do those things that we can and should do ourselves. These responsibilities must include helping those in our communities who cannot care for themselves, providing a hand-up and a bridge to future independence, not a lifetime of dependency.
