U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on the tragic shooting outside a Jewish school in France today:
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the malicious, premeditated attacks on Jewish schoolchildren today in Toulouse, France. This is an unspeakable tragedy, and my support and condolences are with the families who are now grieving for the loss of their loved ones.
"I urge the French authorities to do everything within their means to find those responsible for these murders and bring them to justice. Further, our greatest protection from hate-fueled atrocities such as this is practicing acceptance and understanding, and passing these values on to our children. We must continue to foster tolerance and respect through education in order to combat anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry."
