Currently, it is difficult to understand the entire tax code. It is simply too complex and too long. The complexity is due to special interests lobbying for loopholes. To create a climate of job creation Jim will fight to simplify our current tax code so job creators can spend more time on their business and less time in trying to comply with the IRS Tax laws. To create a more level playing field, loopholes that favor certain industries and penalize others must be closed and it must be replaced with a fairer, simpler, tax code.
By removing many of loopholes the communities of the 5th District will benefit by having a flatter, more equitable tax system and the government will no longer be in the business of picking winners and losers. With this new approach the community will see unemployment decrease and the community will have more career opportunities.
