Sutton Calls on House to Reject Anti-Senior, Anti-Jobs Budget

Today, Congresswoman Betty Sutton (OH-13) released the following statement on the newly released Republican Budget:

"House Republicans are back with a new budget and the same failed ideas -- ending Medicare as we know it and protecting tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations that ship Ohio jobs overseas," said Sutton. "Instead of protecting the top one percent on the backs of working families and seniors, we need a balanced-approach to creating a budget; one that provides peace of mind instead of uncertainty, one that provides American jobs instead of unnecessary, expensive tax breaks, and one that provides every Ohioan with a fair chance at the American Dream.

I call on every member of this House to reject this anti-senior citizen, anti-American jobs budget, and get back to work on creating a common-sense budget proposal that benefits all Americans, not just the lucky few at the top."
