U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) today released the following statement regarding the vote on H.R. 5, the Protecting Access to HealthCare (PATH) Act, a bill to repeal Obamacare's Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB):
"While I support the full repeal of Obamacare, doing away with IPAB is an essential step. The sole purpose of the payment advisory board, made up of unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats is to "save' money by restricting access to health care for Medicare beneficiaries. That's simply unacceptable. The government has no place getting in between a patient's relationship with their doctor. We can do better for our seniors."
