Representative Sandy Adams (FL-24) sent a letter to the House Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies with recommendations for the FY 2013 budget.

"With our nation's debt topping $15 trillion it is imperative that Congress stops spending at its reckless rate. I sent a letter to members of the House Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies to request that they prioritize NASA's funding so it can continue its core missions, while still reflecting the need for fiscal discipline in our federal spending. NASA and the aerospace industry are symbols of pride and honor for our country, and they represent the best hopes and ideals of our nation and our citizens. NASA's future space missions are critical to the continued development of new technologies, as well as our high-tech infrastructure, all of which create and sustain jobs and grow our economy. It is my hope that the subcommittee takes the recommendations into consideration so that we can produce a budget for our space program of which we can all be proud."
