Dear Fellow Coloradan,
Thank you for signing the petition asking for a hearing on my bipartisan bill to create better and safer places for recreational shooting. Nearly 5,000 Coloradans from all across our state signed their names in support of my bill. And today, I delivered your signatures to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, which would convene such a hearing. I will encourage the committee to schedule a hearing at the earliest possible time, but I still need your help to pass this bill out of committee, through the Senate and onto the president's desk.
Here's how you can help.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but here in Congress a good story is worth 5,000 signatures -- I need your story. I want to hear why you support my bill and why a lack of quality recreational shooting ranges in your community is a problem.

Your stories and signatures are the evidence I need to convince my Senate colleagues to support this bill and make it law.
My shooting range bill will help states construct and maintain safe public shooting ranges by giving the states greater flexibility over the use of federal funds they already have. Hunting and recreational shooting are an important part of Colorado's heritage. By building and maintaining high-quality shooting ranges, we can bring more Coloradans into the sport and improve the shooting experience for all.
Thanks for your help, and I look forward to hearing from you.
