Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) has taken action to encourage job growth by voting to jumpstart the economy and restore opportunities for America's primary job creators -- small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs. The Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act will spur the growth of small businesses by giving them easier access to capital.

"As a small business owner I am aware that many of our small businesses are having difficulty gaining access to capital through both the public and private markets," said Hartzler. "This legislation will provide these entrepreneurs with the resources they need to grow and create jobs by eliminating the barriers that prevent many small businesses from raising capital and going public."

"A 2010 Keybridge Research study found that every $1 billion in capital spending is responsible for approximately 19,643 jobs including both direct and indirect effects," continued Hartzler. "It's a simple fact that capital is vital for job creation."

"In his State of the Union Address, President Obama challenged Congress to send him a bill that helps small business to succeed," added Hartzler. "The JOBS Act does just that."
