Issue Position

As a Marine and former Naval medical officer, I understand that the federal government's first obligation is to the safety and security of our nation and the brave men and women who defend it. I am deeply committed to doing everything within my power to safeguard the people of the United States from those wishing us harm. As a member of the Homeland Security Committee, you may be sure that I will continue to fight to defend the Constitution as our Founding Fathers intended it.
