Congressman Brian Bilbray Votes to Create Jobs, Extend Tax Cuts for Families and Unemployment Insurance

Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Brian Bilbray (CA-50) today issued the following statement regarding H.R. 3630, the Middle Class Tax Relief & Job Creation Act of 2012:

"As the economy continues to struggle, my priority is to keep as much money in the hands of working families and out of the hands of Washington. While I am disappointed that this bill is not fully paid for, it extends the temporary payroll tax reduction for working families, continues unemployment insurance and includes a "doc fix" to ensure that doctors are able to serve their Medicare patients. Equally important however, are the jobs and public safety benefits this bill creates. The sale of vital spectrum will create jobs and encourage innovation in our high-tech community, while at the same time building a necessary public safety network for first responders."
