Both parties in Congress should be working to reduce the budget deficit because it is one of the biggest threats to America. How can we continue to meet our defense responsibilities, make sure our veterans and retirees live in dignity, and educate our children for the jobs of tomorrow if we keep wasting hundreds of billions of dollars on interest payments? We are a better country than that, we are a more capable people than that, Congress simply doesn't represent the will of the majority of Americans any longer and it must stop.

As your Congressman, John Ewing will allow the "Bush Tax Cuts" for taxpayers making more than $1 Million to expire providing a much needed revenue increase and shared sacrifice

Work to restructure the tax code that simply doesn't work for America

Work with members of both parties to make smart, fair cuts to the federal budget to eliminate waste and inefficiency
