Congressman Jon Runyan (R-NJ) reacts to President Barack Obama's Fiscal Year 2013 Budget:
"I am disappointed with the Administration's FY 2013 budget proposal. This budget clearly shows that the President and the Senate, who have not passed a budget in more than 1,000 days, are not taking our fiscal crisis seriously. The budget continues to propose continued deficit spending, cuts to our nation's defense, and tax increases. The President knows that his budget lacks the bipartisan support needed in the House of Representatives and Senate. What little "deficit reduction' is included in the budget falls squarely on the shoulders of our men and women in uniform. The Congress, Senate, and White House must seriously come together and pass meaningful reforms that will keep our nation protected, promote real job growth, and allow our economy to flourish."
