Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) has issued the following statement regarding President Obama's $3.8 trillion budget he has sent to Congress:

"President Obama's budget proposal is yet another call for more taxing and spending that would further burden America's job creators and harm our fragile economy. With this ill-conceived budget proposal that includes $1.5 trillion in additional taxes, the President formally breaks his promise to cut the deficit in half during his term in office and ignores the recommendations of his own fiscal reform commission, risking a debt crisis. The focus of the budget must be on putting Americans back to work, protecting senior citizens, and cutting the Obama Administration's massive deficits."
