Hearing of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform - Rep. Farenthold Questions Holder's Ability to Manage Department Of Justice

Statement

Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Blake Farenthold (TX-27) in the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, questioned the ability of Attorney General Eric Holder to run the Department of Justice when so many management failures, such as Operation Fast and Furious, happened on his watch.

"No one has been disciplined. No one has been firedÂ…I don't think that is good management. I think that is the reason many of my colleagues myself included, have suggested it might be time for you to resign. My question is, knowing what you know now about the handling of Operation Fast and Furious, do you believe you are capable of leading the top law enforcement agency in this country and can you tell the U.S. taxpayers that you are the most qualified person to manage the Department of Justice?"
