The United States has 300 years of coal, is considered the Saudi Arabia for Natural Gas resources, and has loads of Shale Oil, and yet we import over 60% of our oil. In the coming years, the costs of oil will significantly increase because of increasing costs of recovery. We need to ensure that there are no unnecessary barriers to the drilling and refining of oil and natural gas within the borders and territories of the United States. We need to continue to use and support the use of coal in market effective applications. It is also important to note that sometimes government has successfully helped in the startup of new technologies. When it does it must be at the appropriate level. Perhaps, it is most important to note that by closing the energy gap, we will create millions of good paying jobs.
