Congressman Marsha Blackburn (TN-7) today issued the following statement regarding President Obama's budget proposal for fiscal year 2013.

"President Obama's failed economic policies are bad news for America's job creators and hard-working taxpayers. This administration is convinced that we can tax, spend, and borrow our way out of this fiscal crisis. They are flat wrong. The American people are sick and tired of phony budget gimmicks and empty promises. We need real solutions to rein in wasteful spending in Washington and get our nation's debt under control. We can't keep spending money we don't have on programs that don't work and people don't want. That is why I will continue to fight for my across-the-board cuts as a common sense solution to reducing the size and scope of our government while maintaining the promises we have made to our seniors and future generations."
