Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-07) released the following statement regarding, H.R. 1173, the Fiscal Responsibility and Retirement Security Act of 2011. This bill repeals ObamaCare's unsustainable Community Living Assistance Services and Supports Act (CLASS Act):
"Today, the House took another step toward undoing ObamaCare -- a costly and flawed law that is hurting economic growth by strapping small businesses with more regulations, increased costs and higher uncertainty. The CLASS program was an insolvent gimmick to achieve false savings in ObamaCare sold under the guise of long-term care. I want to thank Chairman Dave Camp and Chairman Fred Upton for their continued work on measures to undo this harmful law and replace it with common sense, patient-centered solutions that lower costs and increase access to care."
