Congressman Jon Runyan (R-NJ) reacts to President Barack Obama's decision to reject the permit for the construction of TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline.
"I am very disappointed that the President has decided to reject the Keystone project. The entire country understands we need the jobs and energy independence that this project could offer. Rather than work toward an environmentally safe way to execute this project, the Administration has instead kept the United States reliant on foreign oil and created jobs for our economic rivals. I hope that TransCanada resubmits their permit application and the President puts politics aside and approves this job creating project."
