Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter called on Washington Republicans to end the partisan games and stay in session to complete work on important year end economic legislation.
"House Republicans announced they would leave Washington before an agreement has been made on a host of important economic issues. For the sake of working Americans, I call on Republican leadership to come back to the table and finish these important negotiations. This is too important to run home for the weekend. Americans work better when we work together. If we invest in innovation, education and rebuilding our country, then people will have good, stable, long-term jobs which will reduce unemployment, generate revenue and put us on sound financial footing in the New Year," stated Perlmutter.
