There is no doubt the scales of Oregon politics are tipped against Republican Rob Cornilles in his bid for the open 1st Congressional District seat, but that is the point he wants to make.
"(On) the congressional side, our delegation is imbalanced," he told KATU News anchor Steve Dunn during KATU's political show, "Your Voice, Your Vote" that aired for the first time Sunday. "The fact that our state continues to see high unemployment above the national average and problems such as poverty and child hunger, and education isn't where it should be -- to me demonstrates that people are ready for a different direction."
