Statement on Russ Carnahan: Drop in Unemployment Rate

Statement

Date: Dec. 2, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

In response to a one-month .4% drop in the unemployment rate to 8.4%, U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan (MO-3) issued the following statement:

"This month's improved unemployment report is welcome news. However, the need for action on a real jobs plan is still urgent.

"Congress should stop wasting time on ideologically-driven bills that don't create jobs, and take real action before adjourning for the year. I will work with anyone, anywhere, anytime to pass a real job-creation plan that will invest in roads, bridges, and encourage growth in our vital manufacturing sector."
