"Last week our country hit a very unfortunate milestone when our national debt reached $15 trillion. Despite the Joint Select Committee's failure to meet their deadline it is my hope that my colleagues will continue to work together to find a solution. Stalemate cannot be our answer, the government can't continue to borrow forty-three cents of every dollar it spends diminishing the future of our grandchildren. Like every family in America, Washington has to make tough decisions. We must work toward pro-growth policies that allow the private sector to create jobs." -- Rep.
