Pete Sessions Statement on October Jobs Report

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement in response to the Department of Labor's unemployment report for the month of October:

"Today's jobs report once again demonstrates how Washington Democrats' policies simply aren't working. President Obama's big-government agenda impedes job creation, discourages innovation and has left our economy stagnant. The nearly 14 million unemployed Americans deserve real solutions that will get them back into the workplace so that they may provide for their families and pursue their American Dream.

"House Republicans are deeply concerned about chronic unemployment across America and have made job creation our top priority. We will continue to bring proven solutions for job growth to the House floor, including pro-growth initiatives outlined in our Plan for America's Job Creators. I urge the Democrat-controlled Senate to take action on the more than 20 House-passed jobs bills so that we may get Americans working again and ensure a brighter future for generations to come."
