Mack Calls for Embargo on Travel to Chavez's Corrupt Venezuela in Wake of Kidnapping

Congressman Connie Mack, Chairman of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee, released the following statement regarding the kidnapping of Wilson Ramos in Venezuela:

"The Obama Administration and the State Department have continued to coddle the corrupt, terrorist supporting Chavez regime in Venezuela, and the Administration has thwarted repeated attempts by my Committee to label Venezuela a state sponsor of terrorism.

"Regrettably, the tragedy of the kidnapping of Wilson Ramos has yet again underscored the failures of this Administration in picking our friends and allies in Latin America. Since the State Department will not act, I today would tell all Americans to cease traveling to Venezuela and for businesses to reconsider operating there as a matter of personal safety for their employees."
