The House has now passed 18 job creation bills which are awaiting action in the Senate, and this week we will continue adding to that number.
Today we will vote on Access to Capital for Job Creators Act (HR 2940), introduced by House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). This bill will "widen the universe of potential investors for small businesses without subjecting these businesses to the onerous costs of registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission."
Tomorrow the House is slated to take up Congressman Patrick McHenry's (R-NC) Entrepreneur Access to Capital Act (HR 2930). Below is a great video explaining the importance of this legislation.
Earlier this week, the House passed HR 1070, the Small Company Capital Formation Act. Representative David Schweikert's (R-AZ) legislation is summed up nicely on his website.
Finally, later today, my colleagues and I on the Rules Committee will debate the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act (HR 2838), introduced by Congressman Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ).
