During the debate over last year's health care reform bill the President and Democratic leaders frequently claimed that people would be able to keep their health care plans. However, Republicans and outside analysts pointed out that severe cuts to the Medicare Advantage program would likely mean that many seniors would see their current plan disappear. In California, Anthem Blue Cross announced that they would be ending their Medicare Advantage plan that covered 113,000 beneficiaries statewide. I continue to be concerned that Pennsylvania residents will see similar changes to their plans as the new law is implemented.
