Today the U.S. Supreme Court announced its decision to hear challenges to President Obama's job-crushing health care law. After the Court's announcement, Congressman Gary Miller issued the following statement:

"It has been nearly two years since President Obama and then-Speaker Pelosi -- over the strong objections of the American people - rammed through Congress this 2,801-page government takeover of our nation's health care system. I believe the law's individual mandate is an unprecedented, unconstitutional federal overreach into individual health decisions, and I am pleased to hear that the Supreme Court will soon review the law's constitutionality.

Since its enactment, health care costs have continued to soar for hard-working American families. Meanwhile, as we work to find ways to put millions of unemployed Americans back to work, the law's looming tax and spending increases continues to add to the uncertainty facing our nation's small businesses and employers, crushing job creation and economic growth. While the challenges to the law await review by the Court, I will continue to fight in Congress to repeal this job-killing law and restore control over individual health care decisions to patients."
