Today, on the floor of the House of Representatives, Congresswoman Kathy Hochul reiterated her call for Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate Colgan Air for withholding emails during the investigation of the crash of Continental Connection Flight 3407.

"The cruel irony of 50 loved ones taken from us in a preventable plane crash before Valentine's weekend is lost on no one in my district where the Colgan Air crash occurred," said Congresswoman Hochul. "If Colgan committed a crime by failing to disclose these emails to federal agencies, they must be held accountable. The 3407 families have fought for a resolution to the safety issues brought to light by the crash. These families, Western New Yorkers, and the American people deserve closure. And they deserve to know the full truth, and no less."

This weekend, Congresswoman Hochul, along with Western New York Representatives Higgins, Slaughter and Reed, and U.S. Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, sent a letter to the Attorney General asking for the Department of Justice to investigate Colgan Air. Continental Connection Flight 3407 crashed in Clarence Center in February 2009, killing 49 people on board the plane and one on the ground.
