Governor Susana Martinez announced today that she has issued a proclamation commemorating
tomorrow, November 11, as Veterans Day across New Mexico. Tomorrow, Governor Martinez will attend a
Veterans Day Celebration and Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park in Angel Fire and visit patients at Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque. A moment of silence in honor of the nation's veterans will be observed at 11:00 a.m.
"Veterans Day is an important time to thank all of the men and women who have bravely served our country," said Governor Martinez. "While we observe their service and sacrifice today, we are grateful for the selfless actions of our veterans and active duty military members year-round. I hope all New Mexicans will join me in thanking our veterans for their service and observing a moment of silence in their honor."
