Congressman Lee Terry (R-NE), a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, today voted to subpoena the White House for Solyndra-related senior staff emails and documents. The resolution passed 14-9.

"Oversight is one of the basic responsibilities of Congress. The House Energy and Commerce Committee has been investigating Solyndra and the circumstances surrounding its bankruptcy after questionably receiving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars."

"We want to get to the bottom of this, but the White House has repeatedly denied requests for Solyndra-related documents, and has refused to engage in discussions on the issue. The American people deserve transparency, and today we took a necessary step to ensure they know the truth on this matter."
