Congressman Lee Terry today released the following statement regarding the Committee on Energy and Commerce's pending subpoena of Solyndra-related internal White House documents.
"His first day in office, President Obama claimed that transparency and the rule of law were going to be touchstones of his presidency."
"The House Energy and Commerce Committee kicked off its Solyndra investigation nearly nine months ago. During the course of this investigation, the White House repeatedly denied requests for Solyndra-related internal White House documents, and has refused to engage in discussions on the issue. The Obama Administration has chosen the path of most resistance in this case, and we're now prepared to counter."
"The Solyndra loans were made with American taxpayers' money and Americans deserve to know the truth on this matter. We must uncover the whole story behind Solyndra, so we can ensure that this doesn't happen again."
