Matheson S0tatement on the Death of Libyan Dictator al Qadhafi

Congressman Matheson issued the following statement upon hearing confirmation that Muammar al Qadhafi was captured and killed by Libyan rebel forces:

"An international sponsor of terrorism and a brutal dictator has now been taken out. It was al Qadhafi who reportedly ordered the bombing of Pan Am flight 103, which killed 103 Americans."

"With the support of the United Nations and the Arab world, the Libyan people have not liberated their country and we all hope that a government will emerge that safeguards the dignity and human rights of the Libyan people and is a good neighbor in this important region of the world," said Matheson.
