The House of Representatives has been very busy this year. We have passed bills: 1) cutting spending; 2) undoing onerous regulations that hinder job creation; and 3) preventing executive agencies from imposing large bureaucratic burdens on the American people. Unfortunately, as you can see below, the Senate has failed to act. If we are going to turn the nation's economic circumstances around, we cannot continue to stifle small business job creation by imposing unnecessary regulatory burdens and taxes on them. We must also pass a balanced budget amendment and rein in spending so that we can regain our footing as a nation. It is my hope that the Senate will follow the House's lead and pass the legislation I have outlined below.
