Today I had the great honor of meeting nearly 100 South Carolinian WWII veterans at the National World War Two Memorial, as well as a great group of school children who were there to meet them. It is always a humbling experience to talk with our veterans, and their love for our country continues to shine through even 70 years after WWII began. I want to thank the group for the opportunity to shake their hand and express my heartfelt thanks for their service.
Our veterans exemplify the American spirit, and we will never be able to fully repay them for their service to our nation. So thank a veteran today, and pray for those who have lost loved ones defending our great nation. They deserve it.
