U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) issued the following statement after voting against cloture on Senator Harry Reid's Jobs Bill:
"The Majority Leader's bill is more of the same policy that failed with President Obama's first "Stimulus.' We cannot tax, borrow, and spend our way to prosperity. Real economic recovery will not come by growing government. It will only come by fostering an economic environment where the private sector can create jobs, which this bill does not. Instead it creates jobs that will go away when the money goes away, just as we saw with the President's last "Stimulus' bill. That approach failed then and will again."
