oday, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) issued the following statement regarding passage of the plan to fund the country through November.
"I voted for this bill because it was important to ensure communities hardest hit by recent natural disasters have the necessary resources to help our citizens in need. But, I'm tired of my vote being held hostage to these 6-8 week temporary measures to fund our country. It's showmanship and political games being played by Washington Tea Party Republicans, and it is no way to run our nation. Politics should be left for campaigns, and governing should be responsible and long term."
