Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen, who is spearheading Congressional efforts to bring an international air show to Homestead Air Reserve Base (HARB), has set up a meeting between officials from the U.S. Air Force and the Beacon Council to discuss what is needed to gain approval for the use of the base to host the Miami International Aerospace Show. Bringing the air show to HARB will create much needed jobs in our community and help the South Florida economy.
Other members of the South Florida Congressional Delegation have also been invited to this meeting to be held at Ros-Lehtinen's DC offices.
Said Ros-Lehtinen: "I look forward to sitting down with Air Force and Beacon Council officials and discuss their concerns and their ideas to make this a reality. We must do everything within our reach to bring the air show to HARB as it will provide a needed jolt to our sluggish economy and be an engine for job creation. While I understand that the challenges that lay ahead are many, I know the perseverance and desire of South Florida's public officials will make a positive difference."
