Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement after House passage of the Transparency in Regulatory Analysis of Impacts on the Nation (TRAIN) Act of 2011, H.R. 2401:
"Washington is burying Arkansas's job creators under a mountain of red-tape, and it's killing jobs. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that some of its proposed regulations could cost tens of billions of dollars, but no one really knows what the full impact of these regulations will be on our economy. That is why I voted for the TRAIN Act, which directs an interagency committee to study the impact EPA's regulations are having on economic growth and job creation. We need to curb Washington's overregulation so job creators can start hiring again."
