Rep. Blake Farenthold (TX-27) has the following comments on the 10 year anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks:
"Ten years ago as I watched the attack on America from my office in One Shoreline Plaza, I was shocked and stunned by the act of terrorism on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, as well as amazed by the courageous efforts of those on United Airlines Flight 93. My wife Debbie and I will be attending the Flight 93 Memorial Dedication in Shanksville, Pennsylvania on Saturday to honor the brave passengers on that flight.
"We will never forget the tragedy of that day or the sacrifice the first responders and the brave men and women of our Armed Forces have made to protect our homeland against further acts of terrorism. I urge all Americans to take a moment to remember and honor all those who lost their lives, their families and loved ones, on this tragic day ten years ago.
"As a Member of Congress serving on the House Committee on Homeland Security, I remain committed to ensuring that our military, first responders and intelligence community have the resources they need to fight terrorists and prevent future attacks on our homeland. I urge all Americans to remain vigilant for suspicious activity in their neighborhoods and at places they frequent. No one is better equipped to spot something as those familiar with an area. If you see something, say something."
