Congressman Blackburn issued the following statement today on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
"Ten years ago it appeared everything about our country would change. And by the necessity of the battle we face, some things have. More than what has changed; the magnitude found in the contract with democracy has not changed. The loudness and boldness by which we conduct our plural society will never be well received by those who seek to do us harm. With great resolve, we go about the business of democracy, letting all voices be heard, and by doing so continuing to honor those lost on that tragic day.
"We remain ever thankful for those who have given the last full measure of devotion to this great country and we continue to pray for the safe return of those whose service takes them to lands beyond our shores."
