After facing the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression, our nation's economy has pushed back from the cliff and is growing again. However, there is still much work to be done as too many Iowans are out of work and too many middle class families are struggling to make ends meet.
In the 112th Congress, we must return to the foundation of this great nation which is building American goods with American hands. I will continue to support tax credits for Iowa's small businesses, incentives for Iowa's renewable energy industry, and measures that protect American jobs from being outsourced. As your Congressman, I will encourage additional funding to maintain Iowa's high-quality education system, and the allocation federal dollars to improve the state's roads and infrastructure. As a farmer, I will fight for a strong safety net that keeps family farms growing. I encourage you to read more about the legislation and projects I have supported that have created jobs in Iowa and put our state on the road to recovery.
